A man's duty
Minhaj Ahmed, Uttara, Dhaka
This refers to Ms. Naomi's letter (On Women's Day, Mar. 12). I support the writer's view about the role that every woman should have in society. As a man, I also want to take oath that if I am a father then I will treat both my daughter and son equally. I will do my best to educate her at the highest level. If I am a father-in-law, I will give love and rights to my daughter-in-law the same way I love my own daughter. If I can allow my daughter to do a job then there is no reason why I cannot allow my daughter-in-law to do the same. If I am a husband, I will take care of my wife's mother and sister the same way I care for my own mother and sister.
