Order on acceptance of charge sheet Apr 10

A Dhaka court yesterday fixed April 10 to pass an order on acceptance of the charge sheet against top listed criminals Kala Jahangir and Pichchi Hannan and 10 others in the ward commissioner Shahadat Hossain Sikder murder case.The magistrate of the Court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Shafiq Anwar, issued the order and served a notice upon the complainant of the case to appear before the court on the date. The other charge-sheeted accused are Saidur Rahman alias Shahid, a ward commissioner who has been sentenced to death in the advocate Habibur Rahman Mondol murder case, Dakat Shahid, Jahangir Alam alias Jaora Jahangir, Humayun Kabir Babu, Naim Sikder Bindu, Khairul, Abed, Yusuf Ali, Lamba Bulu and Omar Faruq. The investigation officer of the case submitted the charge sheet to the court on March 19 against the accused. Of the accused, Shahid and three others are now in the jail custody while Kala Jahangir, Pichchi Hannan and six others are at large. Shahadat, 40, commissioner of Ward No.90 of Dhaka City Corporation, was killed at road No. 8, Sector No.6 in the Uttara Model Town on September 29 last year. The victim's elder brother, Mohammad Mozammel Hossain, filed a murder case with Uttara Police Station the same day.
