On the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the Liberation War Museum and to observe the dark night of the March 25, Chhayanaut presented a cultural programme at the museum premises on that day. The students of Chhayanaut performed the inspiring number Bertho praner aborjona purie phele agun jwalo at the beginning. Though the children were a mere 12 or 13 year, their patriotic songs had the audience spell-bound. The other songs they rendered were Banga Amar Janini Amar, Mora Jhanjhar mato uddam, Takdum takdum bajai Bangladesher dhol and the national anthem Amar shonar Bangla. The passion and spirit with which they rendered the songs touched the hearts of the audience as they joined in to sing these songs. Singer Champa performed one of the most popular and spirited songs of the Liberation War Ek Nadi Rokto Perie. She rendered the song so accurately with her smooth and clear voice that the audience felt that they had been transported to those turbulent days of 1971. The eminent singers of Chhayanaut, Iffat Ara Dewan, Mohiujjaman Chowdhury, Khairul Anam Shakil and others performed several other songs of Tagore, DL Ray, Jibonanda Das and many other eminent lyricists.
