The body of Giren Biswas 30, with its throat slit, was found on a field at Bahermadi village in Daulatpur upazila on Friday. He was the son of Mati Biswas.

Giren, accused in at least 14 murder cases, escaped from police custody while he was being taken to Daulatpur police station from Kushtia court on July 22, 2002.

Two policemen were suspended in this regard.

According to family sources, Giren came home several days ago to see his grandfather.

Unidentified men called Giren out of house Wednesday night. He was missing since then.
