The victim was identified as Milon Mia,35, son of Nuru Miah of Darshana Pathan Para.

He was admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital with chest pain where he died.

Milon was arrested on March 29 under Section 54. There was no specific charge against him.

Family members alleged that he was killed in police torture as the body bore injury marks.

But jail sources termed it as normal death.

Police sources told this correspondent they are investigating the matter.
