The affected upazilas are Sadar, Begumganj, Companiganj, Chatkhil and Senbagh.

Five people of Begumganj upazila injured in the storm, were given first aid.

Administration sources said green chili, onion and other crops on several thousand acres of land were damaged.

A good number of trees were uprooted and electricity supply was disrupted.

Traffic movement on Khulna-Laxmipur-Chittagong and Chowmuhani-Laxmipur roads was suspended as trees fell on the roads during the storm.
