Vehicles of Nanak, Azam come under gun attack

Ten Jubo League leaders including its Chairman Jahangir Kabir Nanak and General Secretary Mirza Azam MP were injured as unknown miscreants opened fire on and hurled bombs at their vehicles near Rajshahi University last night. Nanak and Azam were returning to the capital after attending an organisational conference in Rajshahi town. As their vehicle reached Kazla Gate at 10:30pm, unknown people fired at least seven times at them and blasted about 10 bombs. The attack stopped when police arrived at the spot. Nanak blamed ruling BNP activists and its student front Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal for the attack.
