Former national captain Akram Khan will be out of action for ten days for a fractured right arm. The veteran batsman, who is captaining Bashundhara Group in the ongoing GrameenPhone Corporate Cricket League (CCL), picked the injury while fielding during their Sunday's match against Biman Bangladesh at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium. Akram batted with pain but his visit to a physician after the match confirmed the fracture. "The doctor has advised me to rest for at least ten days," Akram told the Daily Star Sports over phone yesterday. "It means I will not be able to play in some crucial matches," said Akram whose side have won two out of three matches in the CCL so far. In Akram's absence, Bashundhara will be captained by another former Bangladesh skipper Naimur Rahman. Bashundhara take on Gazi Tank today.
