AFC's grassroots grant
Nipu, Jilani BFF's choice

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has recommended coaches Jubair Nipu and Syed Golam Jilani for its grassroots level coaching programme under the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)'s grant.

BFF general secretary Anwarul Haque Helal told reporters yesterday that the AFC will pay for the coaches.

"We have sent their names for AFC's approval. The two fulfil the requirements asked by the Asia's governing body for football. Both are B-Licence holders and are under 45 years of age," Helal said.

The two coaches have also attended an AFC workshop in Malaysia recently.

The grassroots camps will be held for under -10 and under - 12 age groups.

"The AFC has stopped paying for foreign coaches at national level as it is trying to develop the game in underdeveloped countries from the grassroots. It is also encouraging local coaches to do the job," the BFF general secretary added.
