Police told this correspondent they arrested Awami League (AL) leader of Ward No 5 Sahabuddin Khokon, 35, a commissioner candidate of the ward as an accused of two pending cases filed with Kaliganj police station.

However, family sources said to this correspondent that police want to harass during election period in a pretext so that he can not come out winner in the polls.
