Sujit Kumar Shaha, a freedom fighter and founder principal of Shekhpara Dukhi Mahmud Degree College, died of cardiac arrest at Suhrawardy Hospital in Dhaka on Sunday at the age of 55. The college authorities announced a holiday yesterday to mourn his death. He served the college for 10 years without any salary. He left behind his wife and two daughters. People from all walks of life attended the funeral to mourn his death. Principal Sujit was cremated with state honour at his village Mirjapur.
