New chairman of SIBL
Kamaluddin Ahmed was elected new chairman of Social Investment Bank Limited (SIBL) at the bank's board meeting held in Dhaka on Monday.The board of directors also elected Abdul Awal Patwary and Munshi Akhtaruzzaman as vice-chairmen of the bank, says a press release. Kamaluddin Ahmed is the 1st vice-president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry and former president of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also served as a director of Chittagong Stock Exchange. Abdul Awal Patwary is the chairman of Patwary Group of Companies while Munshi Akhtaruzzaman is the president of Comilla Samity, Dhaka.
