Tommy Miah presents a 'Sylheti Night'
Tommy Miah's Heritage restaurant is set to dedicate today, for the promotion of Sylheti Culture. Being a Sylheti, Tommy feels much indebted to his place of birth, especially the village of Baronthi Moulvibazaar. As with Tommy Miah's special dishes served in 'The Raj' of Edinburgh the emphasis will be upon simplicity. These are recipes any cook can be confident of producing at home using the easily available ingredients. The delectable dishes which will be served are Biroi rice, beef curry with the traditional saatkara, shrimp curry and fry, Boal fish curry with bottle gourd, dry fishes- sidol gozar, mixed vegetable etc cooked essentially with traditional spices and herbs. All these mouth-watering items will be cooked by Tommy Miah himself. Garden fresh Sylheti tea will also be served at the end.
