Killing of MP

Unknown assailants killed AL lawmaker Ahsanullah Master while he was presiding over a party programme in Tongi (BBC, 7 May). Mr. Ahsanullah was a popular and dedicated labour leader. His killing speaks volumes for the deterioration of law and order in the country. People, irrespective of political affiliation, are being killed every day. Actions taken by the government to curb terrorism, killings and other anti-social activities have not produced any satisfactory results.
