West Indies captain Brian Lara will miss the first two one-dayers against Bangladesh in St. Vincent. The finger Lara broke in the first Test against England in March has not recovered and he has been replaced by Ramnaresh Sarwan. Lara's recovery received a setback in the final one-dayer against England. A West Indies Cricket Board statement said: "Bearing in mind the hectic schedule ahead, Lara will sit out the first two games as a precaution." The West Indies host Bangladesh in three one-day internationals and two Tests in May and June. The first two ODIs are on Saturday and Sunday in St. Vincent and the third in Grenada on May 19. The Caribbeans then travel to England for a triangular one-day series with the hosts and New Zealand in June and July before playing four Tests against England in late July and August. Experienced fast bowlers Corey Collymore and Mervyn Dillon have been left out of the squad taking on Bangladesh after poor displays against England. Regular Test pacemen Tino Best, who is uncapped at one-day level, and Fidel Edwards, who has made just two previous limited-overs appearances, are both included. There is also a return for left-handed opener Devon Smith, whose broken left thumb forced him to miss the last two Tests and the entire one-day series against England. SQUAD Ramnaresh Sarwan (captain), Chris Gayle, Devon Smith, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ricardo Powell, Sylvester Joseph, Dwayne Smith, Dwayne Bravo, Ridley Jacobs (wkt), Ian Bradshaw, Ravi Rampaul, Fidel Edwards, Tino Best.
