Siemens to supply equipment to Norwegian cellphone co
Siemens is to supply mobile phone network equipment to Norwegian cellphone company NetCom.The Siemens Information and Communication Mobile Group has signed a letter of intent with NetCom to upgrade its GSM infrastructure with 3G/UMTS technology, says a press release. The final contract will be signed during the next few weeks. The implementations of the GSM network upgrade will commerce immediately afterwards. The order is worth 200 million euro over the next six years.
