An exemplary punishment

Ershad Shikder, a notorious killer, walked to the gallows on May 11 at the Khulna district jail. He had unleashed a reign of terror in Khulna before his capture in 1999. He killed more than 55 persons brutally to perpetuate his supremacy. Shikder's hanging is exemplary as such punishment deters criminal activities.
