Artistes lend a hand to Milu

Khalid Hassan Milu, a popular singer, is suffering from brain hemorrhage and other complications. He will be taken to Bangkok for treatment later this month. The friends and well wishers of Milu announced this in an informal programme, We Are For Milu, recently.

Famous anchor Hanif Shanket telecast a report on Milu's present condition in his programme Ityadi earlier and organised many artistes to donate for Milu. But Milu was unwilling to hold any charity show for raising funds for his treatment. For this reason, Shanket urged the artistes and organisations to come up with some financial assistance. The artistes and three private television channels responded positively and raised a fund of over Taka 10 lakh for him.

The artistes also discussed the present condition of Milu with the doctor. His reports have been sent to the Bangkok Bumrungrad Hospital for consultation. Dr Hasnat Karim and entrepreneur Izaz Khan Swapan will accompany Milu. Khalid Hassan Milu expressed his deep gratitude to the artistes and extended his hope that no artiste would die without proper treatment in future.

Among the organisers, Hanif Shanket, Andrew Kishore, Izaz Khan Swapan, Baby Naznin, James, Fakir Alamgir and the family members of Milu, were present in the programme.
