Bangladeshi Grand Masters Niaz Murshed and Ziaur Rahman failed to make a winning start when the Leonine Second GM chess tournament began at the NSC conference room yesterday.Zia drew with GM Nguan Anh Dung of Vietnam and Niaz shared point with his compatriot Interna-tional Master Enamul Hossain Rajib. On the other hand GM Sandipan Chanda, IM Lanka Ravi and IM Dinesh Kumar Sharma of India and IM Abdullah Al Rakib won their respective matches. In the first round, Sandipan beat GM Alexander Fominyh of Russia, Lanka beat IM Reefat-bin-Sattar, Dinesh beat Krishna Thapa of Nepal and Rakib beat Abdul Maleq.
