The accident occurred when Razibul Karim Khan was going to his friend Shovon's residence at Maddhyabadda in a rickshaw at about 3:00pm from Mouchak market. Razibul appeared at the final year examinations in Management this year from Jagannath University College.

A medicine cover van hit the rickshaw from behind at Malibagh Chowdhurypara in front of the garment factory Dragon Sweater. Razibul died on the spot.

Police sent the dead body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Police also seized the van.

Razibul's friends said he did a diploma in designing and was working as a designer at a fashion house in Dhanmondi.
