Akhter Un Nabi passes away

Akhter Un Nabi, former president of Chittagong Press Club and Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ), passed away at Tata Memorial Hospital of Mumbai in India in the early hours of yesterday at the age of 60. Nabi, also a writer and transcriber, left behind his wife, one son and a host of admirers to mourn his death. His body is expected to arrive in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon and in Chittagong in the evening the same day. He will be laid to rest at his family graveyard at Sitakunda. His namaz -e-janaza will be held at the Chittagong Press Club and at his village home.
