Bengal Group of Industries recently acquired the problem-ridden Rahmania Biscuit and Bread Industries.

"We have started production at a new modern plant," Morshed Alam, chairman and managing director of Bengal Group, told a press conference in Dhaka.

Alam said Rahmania, which started operation in 1990, now produces 12 categories of biscuits and breads and hoped the company will add five to six categories of items to its production line soon.

Alam also hoped to export Rahmania products in future.
