My students

The other day, my office door kept opening and closing while I was shouting down my mobile to an ex-student from Haluaghat. The shuffling and whispering indicated a deputation waiting to enter. When the call had finished, four little girls from Year 4 burst in and fell at my feet, with a bad attack of examination nerves. "Pray for us, Ma'am," they cried.

I put my arms around them and prayed, solemnly, "Dear God, please help these little girls to do their best in their examinations. Amen." They thanked me happily and skipped out.

Excuse me, but did I do anything wrong?
