Biman 'Umrah' ticket
Saleh Ahmed Chowdhury, DOHS, Dhaka
A number of seats go vacant in almost every Jeddah flight of Biman. It is better to earn some revenue by issuing subsidised Umrah tickets to high government officials along with their spouses. I suggest that Joint Secretaries and above may be allowed return Umrah ticket at the rate of Tk. fifteen thousand per ticket. This will be a good incentive for the officials and at the same time add some revenue to Biman against prospective vacant seats. Will the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism give a thought to it?
