Big gainer?

Our Foreign Minister on return from the OIC meeting at Turkey mentioned that Bangladesh gained a lot, even though Bangladesh's candidate lost the election for the OIC secretary general . Each time our cricketers are defeated in a match, as a routine exercise the officials say Bangladesh gained a lot from this defeat. If Bangladesh keeps on gaining from each and every defeat, then what's the point in trying to win? Let Bangladesh be the biggest gainer by continuing to lose in every field.
