Viqarunnisa Noon School topped this year's nationwide Grade Point Average (GPA) 5 list with 421 of its students scoring the maximum grade on offer in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.

Dhaka Education Board registered the lowest pass rate among all the boards. The highest number of examinees with a GPA of five, however, are from this board. The number of students passed with a GPA of five in Dhaka Board stands at 4,046.

Ideal School and College ranked second in the GPA-5 rankings by bagging 302 while Government Laboratory High School ranked third by bagging 148 GPA-5 scorers.

Dr Khastagir Government Girls' High School and Collegiate School of Chittagong emerged as the fourth and fifth respectively in the race of obtaining a GPA of five. These two schools, with 141 students each passing with GPA of five, topped the list in Chittagong Board.

Monipur High School ranked sixth with 136 examinees scoring a GPA of five while Motijheel Model High School ranked seventh with 128, Rajuk Uttara Model School and College eighth with 111, Dhaka Residential Model College ninth with 95 and Bangladesh Mahila Samiti Girls' High School 10th with 94 GPA-5 scorers.

Meanwhile, Cantonment Public School and College, Bogra, Blue Bird High School, Sylhet, Khulna Zila School, Khulna, Barisal Cadet College, Barisal, Comilla Zila School, Comilla topped the lists in five education boards when 74, 61, 69, 54 and 92 of their examinees respectively came out with a GPA of five.

Tamirul Millat Kamil Madrasah, Demra in Dhaka topped the list of GPA-5 holders in Dakhil examinations with 81 of its examinees attaining a GPA of five while Sarsina Darussanat Kamil Madrasah, Pirojpur and Jamea-e-Kasemia Kamil Madrasah, Norsingdi secured second and third positions with 42 and 34 respectively.

Md Delwar Hossain from Bhola Technical Training Centre is the only examinee to score a GPA of five in SSC Vocational under Technical Education Board.

Pass rate is 100% in nine institutions under Rajshahi board, four under Sylhet board, 10 under Jessore board, eight under Barisal board, 10 under Comilla board, eight under Dhaka board, six under Chittagong board, 10 under Madrasah Education Board and one institute under Technical Education Board.
