BSF guns down one, wounds 2

The Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead one Bangladeshi national and wounded two others in the frontier Haluaghat upazila Sunday night.

Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and police sources said the BSF opened fire on three Bangladeshi citizens and nabbed them from Gobrakura village at around 8:00pm. Of the three, Moni Sangma died of his injuries.

The identity of the others could not be known immediately and they were not handed over to the BDR until yesterday afternoon.

The BSF, however, returned the body of Moni, son of Khabush Resil of Madhupur in Tangail, to the BDR. Moni went to visit his relative's house.

The BDR, meanwhile, arrested Rajesh on suspicion from Gobra-kura yesterday.
