Japan keen to invest in Bangladesh EPZs
Japan has shown keen interest to invest in the export processing zones in Bangladesh.

This was disclosed by leader of visiting high powered Japanese delegation Hioki Kihei, who is also president of Japanese Daisen Co Ltd, during a meeting with Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority Brig General (Retd) Md Zakir Hossain in Dhaka on Thursday, says a press release.

Other members of the delegation -- Yutaka Hida, president of Japanese I-Prem Company Ltd, Etuko Hida, president of Japanese Hida Co Ltd, Akiko Trasaki, co-ordinator of international department of Payel Overseas Ltd, and Dizal Islam, managing director of I-Prem Bangladesh Impex Ltd-- accompanied the leader of the team.

BEPZA chief sought cooperation from the delegation for more Japanese investment in the EPZs .

The Japanese businesspeople expressed satisfaction at the performance of BEPZA and said they are keen to invest in the EPZs .
