Mourning procession today

Khulna journalists will bring out a mourning procession today, the last day of the seven-day programme taken in protest against the murder of Humayun Kabir Balu, editor of Dainik Janmabhumi.He was bombed to death on June 27. A milad mahfil was held at the press club auditorium after Asr prayers yesterday. Similar programmes have also been taken in Bagerhat, Satkshira and Jessore districts in memory of the slain editor. Meanwhile, DC (South) Akbar Ali has said three arrestees, taken on a two-day remand with effect from Thursday, are yet to give any information about the murder. They are being quizzed, said the investigating officer.
