Eves exhibit dull soccer

The women's exhibition football match between Bangladesh Ansar and VDP and Bangladesh Football Federation President's Eleven ended in a goalless draw at the Shaheed Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur yesterday.

As per instructions of both the Asian Football Confederation and FIFA, BFF has taken the initiative to introduce women's football in the country and the match was arranged as part of that.

However, players of both sides put up an unplanned and aimless game on a water-soaked ground.

Ansar and VDP played relatively better in the first half to create an easy scoring chance, with Bhulu spoiling it although she had only the opponent custodian to beat.

The BFF side, trained by renowned coach Abu Yusuf, dominated the second half and came close to scoring twice, but Nishat was guilty on both occasions.
