Kushtia schoolgirl raped, another kidnapped

One schoolgirl was violated in Kushtia while another one was kidnapped in Jhenidah in two separate incidents on Sunday.Police said one Zinnah, 22, son of Alauddin, raped a five-year-old girl on Sunday evening at village Mohiskhola in Mirpur upazila of Kushtia. He brought the next-door's little girl into his room after tempting her by a guava and raped her. As the girl cried for help, her family members rushed there and rescued her. They took her to local health complex. Later, as her condition deteriorated, they shifted her to Kushtia General Hospital, said the victim's family members. Neighbours caught the rapist the same day and handed over to police. A case was filed with Mirpur Police Station. In Jhenidah, a gang of wayward youths at village Kharikadanga kidnapped a schoolgirl. Israil Hossain, father of the girl said that, Saheb Ali, 25, son of Alraf Hossain, and Samir Mondol, 18, son of Fakir Mondol, with their accomplices, often used to tease her. He many a time warned them not to annoy her but to no effect. On Sunday, the gang picked the class seven-student into a microbus while she was on her way to school at around 11:am. Israil has filed a case with Kaliganj Police Station in this connection. Police could not yet trace the girl till filing this report yesterday at about 7:00pm.
