U-17 booters lose again

The visiting Bangladesh Under-17 football team suffered another heavy defeat in Thailand when they went down 4-2 against Phanit-chayakan Ratdammnoen College Under-17 team in their third practice match at the Jrang Bauer Football Academy ground near Bangkok yesterday.It was the third consecutive defeat for Shahidur Rahman Shantoo's boys, who are playing some practice matches as part of their preparation for the upcoming AFC Under-17 Football Cham-pionship to be held in Japan next September. The Bangladeshi teenagers, who have been preparing under the supervision of Shantoo since last October, lost their first match 5-2 and second 4-0 against the Thailand Under-17 side. In the third match, the visitors, however, enjoyed the first half when Rubel struck twice in the space of three minutes. But the locals came from 2-0 down and turned the table in their favour in the second half as Vutipomg netted two goals and Supachai and Anek scored netted one each.
