No JCD activist in new list of top criminals in Ctg

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) has finalised a new list of top criminals of 12 thana areas in the metropolis.But there is no Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activist on the list, sources said. Preparation of the list started under supervision of the City Special Branch (City -SB) in the last part of June. The new list consists of 68 top criminals against 71 in the existing CMP list prepared in November 2001. Twenty-five of them are non-political persons while the rest have political affiliation. Twenty-four Awami Leaguers are included in the list which is followed by five BNP men and one Jamaat-e-Islami cadre.Seven top criminals of the list are from Islami Chhatra Shibir followed by three Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists. Two top criminals are from Juba League, while another criminal has been listed from Juba Dal. Of them 20 are behind the bar, 11 have been released on bail and 37 are absconding.
