Student bodies collect relief goods for flood victims


Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on Saturday brought out a silent procession and organised a meeting on the Rajshahi University (RU) campus to collect money for the flood affected people.

JCD leaders urged the student organisations, teachers and officers to donate money for the distressed people.

They set up a camp in front of the central library. On the first day they collected Tk 6,000 from teachers, students and officers of the university. The university unit's general secretary Aslam Reza told this correspondent that they would distribute relief goods among the flood victims in Rajshahi area.

On Saturday, Samajtrantik Chhatra Front (SCF) collected Tk 13, 000 and other materials from the campus and the city area.

They will distribute relief to the flood victims of North Bengal area, SCF General Secretary Susanto Singha told this correspondent.
