Police said, manpower agent SK Zaman Khoka, owner of 'Pan Pacific Consultants' at Jalil Tower, received over Tk 50 Lakh as security money from 30 people giving them false hope that they would be provided with lucrative jobs abroad. But Khoka fled the country on July 16, police said.

Other employees of the manpower agency are also absconding.

Meanwhile, one of the victim's Ujjal Debnath filed a case with Khulna thana on July 27 accusing 11 people of misappropriating Tk 50 lakh through forgery.
