10 people taken to custody for questioning

Ten people have been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the bomb attack on Traffic Sergeant Amirul Islam of Khulna Metropolitan Police at KDA Avenue under Sonadanga thana on Thursday night. He was injured by bomb splinters. Two more bombs were also hurled at the same time from a running car in front of the local offices of the Inqilab and the Janakantha. None was hurt in the explosions. Meanwhile, there has been a breakthrough in the investigation of Janmabhumi Editor Humayun Kabir Balu Murder Case. PBCP (Janajuddho) armed cadre Lalon, 32, who was arrested from Daulatpur on Tuesday, has disclosed the names of others involved in the killing. "We have also got very important information about the motive behind the killing," said DC (South) Akbar Ali.
