Acid thrown on woman in Khulna

Miscreants threw acid on a woman failing to rape her on Thursday night at Nasirpur village under Paikgachha upazila of the district. Zahura Begum, wife of Abdul Karim Gazi, a grocer, was admitted to Paikgacha upazila health complex with severe burn injuries on her face and body. Victim's husband has lodged an FIR yesterday naming four persons as accused. Jalal Hajra, an FIR named accused was arrested yesterday at Nasirpur village.
