Abdul Aziz, 23, and his sister Poppy, 10, went to collect some water hyacinths for their cattle when the latter slipped into an underwater ditch.

Aziz rushed to save her fearing she might drown, but both were electrocuted as a cable from an adjacent electric pole fell out in the water.

Locals recovered the bodies and police sent those to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
