Faridpur reach super league

Faridpur became the final team to earn a place in the super league of ANAS Group National Hockey Championship with a 3-0 victory over Bangladesh Air Force at Maulana Bhasani National Stadium yesterday.Faridpur led the first half 1-0. Mirajul Ahsan put Faridpur ahead in the 32nd minute, converting a penalty corner while substitute Yusuf Ali Biswas doubled the margin from a field goal in the 63rd minute. Four minutes later Shahidulla Titu confirmed their super league berth, scoring another field goal. Earlier, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and BKSP booked their super league seats along with direct qualifiers defending champions Dhaka and last year's runners up Dhaka University. The six-team super league begins today with Dhaka University taking on BKSP at 2.30 pm while Dhaka playing Bangladesh Navy at 4:30 pm at the same venue.
