Box of shame

If you do not have satellite channel connection, then keep yourself away from the TV set for the next 30 minutes, unless you are a blind admirer of politicians of the ruling party. It is 8:00pm now, the torture time starts. This is the perennial phenomenon in BTV's news service. When Ekushey TV kicked off we came across for the first time some international quality and impartial news and other programmes. Three other private channels , Channel I, ntv and ATN Bangla are going through the way shown by Ekushey television as far as news is concerned. Among them ntv undoubtedly is (or was?) serving much better news. Good things do not last long here in Bangladesh. Our hopes were dashed when ntv started covering the news of only the ruling party.
