100 injured in Narsingdi raid


Over 100 people including women and children were injured when a group of armed hooligans attacked several houses in the shoal areas of Alokbali union in Narsingdi yesterday.

Of the injured, six were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with serious wounds and the rest admitted to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.

Police said the armed hooligans, led by Awami League leader Siddique, launched the attack on the houses of BNP supporters Arju Mia and Altu Sarkar and injured all the inmates in an apparent attempt to establish control in the area.

Two cases were filed.
