Monwar Hossain was appointed headmaster of No 2 Khalisha Chapani Government Primay School in Dimla on March 19 in 2001.

Sometime in 2002, he established a kindergarten named Ideal Kindergarten at Nautara in the same upazila and became its principal. The next year he set up a college named Ziaur Rahman Degree College at Chapani Hat, also in the same upazila. This time too he became its principal.

Monwar Hossain has been using the name of Nilphamari district unit President of ruling BNP, Engineer Shahrin Islam Tuhin, a party leader on condition of anonymity told this correspondent after its exposure on Wednesday. The BNP leader claimed that Shahrin Islam is completely unaware about it. He demanded an immediate inquiry into the incident.

After exposure of the matter, both the leaders and workers of Dimla BNP have become perturbed.

An official of Dimla Education department told this correspondent on condition of anonymity, Monwar Hossain is a member of Dimla Upazila Education Committee which consists of 11 members. Not only that he is also an influential person in the upazila BNP, he disclosed.

"We feel it embarrassed to take action against him. But if instructed we may take action against him," he told this correspondent.

However, Monwar Hossain was not available for his comments.
