Relief work continues

Different political parties and socio-cultural organisations continued their relief activities in flood-hit areas yesterday. Jatiya Party (JP) and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) distributed relief among the flood victims in Manikganj. JP Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam and JSD President Hasanul Haque Inu were present on the occasion. Bikalpo Dhara Bangladesh President Prof AQM Badrudozza Chowdhury distributed relief among the flood-affected people at Tejgaon and Mohakhali areas in the city. Eastern Housing Ltd (EHL) started relief works in flood hit areas. Suryasen Hall Food Mess handed over 600 packets of relief materials worth Tk 20000, Eastern Tower Flat Owner Co-operative Association Limited handed over a cheque for Tk 50000 and Dhaka City Corporation Ccontractor Haji Mohammad Lutfor Rahman Badal handed over a ton of rice to Dhaka University Central Relief Operation Committee. DU Help Centre for Flood Victims, Jatiya Oikya Mancha, Bangladesh Chhatra League, Bangladesh Chhatra Union, Bangladesh Chhatra Moitree, Naba Rabi Juba Sangha, Islami Insurance Bangladesh Limited, Hamdard Laboratories Bangladesh, Al-Muntada Al-Islami, Sylhet Division Development Action Council, DORP, Rajshahi University Former Students' Association, and Human Rights Review Society also distributed relief.
