We have some good top order batsmen, although they are inconsistent. But in the middle order we have makeshift batsman in Rajin Saleh and Alok Kapali. I must admit these two batsmen can play anchor role in times of need. But they lack capability to accelerate the score when the team needs them. It is very unfortunate that our local cricket failed to produce replacements for Akram and Bulbul. The use of foreign players in the crucial middle order positions in the local clubs created this void. Local clubs should nurture local talents in the middle order so that they can play the same role Akram and Bulbul did over a decade.
