President, PM, speakers shocked

President Iajuddin Ahmed, Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, Speaker Jamiruddin Sircar, Deputy Speaker Abdul Hamid Siddiqui and BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan last night expressed deep shock at the loss of lives in yesterday's bomb attack on Awami League (AL) rally in front of its central office.In a statement yesterday, the president said, "Only the enemies of the nation can launch this type of barbaric attack." The prime minister expressed deep shock at the loss of lives and directed the authorities concerned to ensure proper treatment of the injured and wished their early recovery. She also called for identifying the terrorists through proper investigation. The speakers and the BNP secretary general also strongly condemned the bomb attack and expressed grief at the loss of lives. All of them prayed for salvation of the departed souls and early recovery of the injured.
