AmCham donation for flood victims


The American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh yesterday donated over Tk 8 lakh to the Rotary International district-3280 for rehabilitating flood-affected people.

AmCham President Aftab-ul-Islam handed over the cheque to Rotary Governor President AKM Shamsuddin.

Rotary district-governor-elect Salim Reza, Amcham Executive Director A Gafur, General Manager of Dhaka Sheraton Hotel Trevor MacDonald, Rotarians Farid Hossain and Syed Ershad Ahmed were present.

The Rotary Governor President said the Rotary Clubs have helped many flood victims with emergency relief like supply of pure drinking water and medicines and now they are focusing on flood rehabilitation.
