Quamrul Huda passes away


Noted photojournalist, columnist and writer Khandaker Quamrul Huda died of a cardiac arrest early yesterday at the age of 65.

A freedom fighter, he worked with the daily Ittefaq, Sangbad, Azad and news agency AP.

Huda survived by his only daughter.

He was buried at Banani graveyard yesterday after namaz-e-janaza at the Jatiya Press Club and Baitul Mokarram Mosque.

His qulkhwani will be held at his home at Bakshi Bazar after Asr prayers tomorrow.

Opposition leader and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, BFUJ President Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury and Secretary General Manzurul Ahsan Bulbul, DUJ President Altaf Mahmud and General Secretary Shah Alamgir, and Barisal Bibhag Sangbadik Samity President Masud Nizami and General Secretary Sheikh Mahiuddin condoled the death of Huda.
