AFC U-17 C'ship
2nd half typhoon blows BD away

After a creditable draw against Uzbekistan in the first match, Bangladesh were handed a 6-1 thrashing by Qatar in their second Group D fixture in the AFC U-17 Championship at Fukushima, Japan yesterday.

Rajan gave Shahidur Rahman Shantoo's team the perfect start with a goal after just 10 minutes and it stayed that way for rest of the first half.

But any thoughts of the teenagers pulling off yet another shock following their 1-1 draw against the fancied Uzbeks on Sunday, were firmly put to rest in the second 45 minutes as the speedy Qataris bombarded the Bangladesh half.

Bangladesh play Iraq tomorrow in their final group game.
