Gonoshasthaya begins second phase of flood relief work
The Gonoshasthaya Kendra has started its second phase of relief operation for 75,000 flood-affected families in 19 districts, says a press release.It will distribute 15 kg of rice, 3.75 kg of pulse and 1.5 kg of oil to each family. Also, 30 medical teams will work in the affected areas. Children will get treatment and medicine free of cost. The districts are Bogra, Gaibandha, Natore, Pabna, Sirajganj, Brahmanbaria, Comilla, Dhaka, Gazipur, Gopalganj, Jamalpur, Kishoreganj, Manikganj, Narayanganj, Narshingdi, Netrakona, Sherpur, Shunamganj and Tangail. The women Union Parishad members will be in-charge of the relief distribution system and they will finalise the list of the destitute families.
