DSE trading resumes tomorrow

Transactions at the country's premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), will resume on Saturday after a four-day break due to incessant downpour that submerged the ground floor and the server room of the bourse.The decision was taken at a board meeting yesterday. Sources said that the DSE estimated a loss of Tk 5 crore as rainwater found its way to the ground floor on Tuesday damaging furniture and electronic peripherals to the main frame computer used for online trading. Earlier, the bourse officials moved the main server, facilitating the automated trading, on a makeshift platform to prevent it from rainwater.
